Greetings, everyone.
I've created a new community for those interested in anything related to the Celtic nations (whether that be heritage, culture, music, etc). Once the community has a larger member-base, there will be weekly posts of links related to something Celtic, as well as weekly mp3's of Celtic music. Please feel free to join or to take a look.

I hope it was alright to promote in this community, but if not, I'll delete the entry.

Hi there.

I've translated the following words into a mixture of Irish and Scottish Gaelic : Peace, Justice, Valour, Truth, Honour, Wisdom and Mercy.

However, I'm having trouble with figuring out the pronunciation of the words and was wondering if anyone here would be able to help me out?

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if someone could explain the meaning of "Róisín Dubh" to me, and its backround. Would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi all!

I plan to play a 6th or 7th century Irish persona in the SCA, and would like to have the descriptive byname "Green-eyed". Does anyone know the translation and pronounciation for that? Any help is appreciated!

There is a song "First Foot" by Clann an Drumma. I believe the lyrics are Gaelic. Anyone know what they are? And what they mean in English?

Thanks!

Greetings, everyone.
my friends and I are doing a song in Irish Gaelic, and we know what we would like to say, but are not sure of the pronunciation. (I'm learning how to speak, but have not gotten very far yet...)

This is what we'd like the phonetics for, if anyone would like to help:
- Féachaim ar an nuacht gach tráthnóna.

- B'fhearr liom tae.

- Is fearr liom tae ná caife.

- Téim a chodladh déanach go leor.

- Is fearr liom drámaí ná scannáin.

- D'imir mé cluiche galif inné.
